Jon Samson, M.A, MTBC, holds a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from New York University
and a Bachelors of Arts in music composition from SUNY Purchase. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Jon offers
a unique combination of music therapy and music education to address the needs of the whole person. Jon runs a private practice
from his recording studio in Brooklyn, NY. As a board certified music therapist and teacher, he works with children and adults
of all ages and levels of functioning, specializing in creative expression and personal growth. Recently, Jon completed two
music programs at Blue School, founded by Blue Man Group, in Manhattan, NY. In addition, he has been running the summer music program at
Packer Collegiate in Brooklyn Heights since 2006, and also guest lectures at Columbia University and other higher education
facilities on the topic of autism and creative expression. Jon has also worked through the Brooklyn Conservatory of music
for children with special needs and autism. As a pianist with over 20 years experience, self taught guitarist, singer/ songwriter,
and recording artist, Jon brings a world of music to his clients.
